How to rank higher in Etsy search
Etsy SEO decides which listings Etsy shows first. The Etsy algorithm looks at these 4 things, among others:
- The title. The words your customers type should come first.
- The 13 tags. Fill them all, with phrases of 2 or 3 words.
- The photos. Sharp, large enough photos make people want to click.
- The description. The first sentences say clearly what you sell.
Etsy sometimes changes its rules: people talk about the new Etsy algorithm. But these 4 points still count for your Etsy search visibility. No one can promise you the first place. But a well-filled listing has a better chance of being seen.
Your questions
What is Etsy SEO?
Etsy SEO is what helps your listings show up in Etsy search: the title, the tags, the description and the photos.
Why am I not getting sales on Etsy?
A common reason: customers don’t see your listings, because they’re too low in search. Your free score tells you what holds them back.
